- The ground wind or altitude wind might have been too strong and exceeded the allowed limits. There might also have been a risk of gusts exceeding the limits.
- Rain may have been forecasted in the flight area. We cannot fly in the rain as it means poor visibility and the balloon will be heavier to fly. The balloon envelope can also be damaged by getting too wet.
- Thunderstorms, known as Cumuli Nimbus, may have been forecasted in the area. These are dangerous for the balloon, and we must not fly within 50 km of one.
- If your flight was a morning flight, there may have been poor visibility/fog in the morning, within our flight period, which then cleared up later in the day.
